SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER

Specific Duties of the position include:

Work within a team to assist in design, development and maintenance of integrated enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions.
Develop and maintain of Cognos 10.1 Business Intelligence solutions in production and test/development environments
Assist with Data Warehouse initiatives working with data warehouse administrators to develop data mart models, design specifications and metadata documentation
Ensure data security approaches satisfy internal compliance policies and DoD security policies
Participate in meetings and regular planning, design and code reviews
Must be highly motivated, a quick learner and possess the ability to work independently or on a team driving solutions with minimal supervision
Must be flexible and capable of juggling multiple priorities and willing to do what it takes to meet critical deadlines
Will be actively engaged in improvement projects that further enhance the Business Intelligence team’s ability to efficiently service our customers

Specific Technical Skills and Experience:

Hands on experience in data extraction /translation/load (ETL)
Cognos framework design and implementation; data analysis and cleansing; troubleshooting; and business intelligence analysis
Strong working knowledge of OLAP systems
Experience with OLAP design implementation (transformer models)
Strong database query language skills (SQL, PL/SQL etc.)
Significant hands-on experience with Cognos Framework Manager
Experience building Framework packages and query items using best practices
Execution of promotional steps to promote items into production
Creating technical specifications for stored procedures and aggregation methodologies
Significant hands-on experience working with Data Marts and Multidimensional Cubes
Experience working with business executives, engineers, managers, database developers, QA testers, internal customers and external partners
Oracle DBA experience preferred

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, IT, or similar technical discipline
Minimum of 2 years of Cognos Development experience
U.S. Citizen and eligible for a security clearance
